A Spirituality All Our Own

7/25/2015

The spirituality of the Institute can be expressed in three numbers: the 5-5-5. In practice, it is convenient for a candidate called to live, in her day-to-day life, this commitment consisting of five moments of prayer, five attitudes of life and five conscious acts of charity. It is easy to remember but demanding to put into practice. As a distinctive feature of the Institute, it is a unifying factor among the members in that it creates an identity and a sense of belonging.

The specificity of this spirituality rests particularly in the attitudes of life:

  1. Being attentive to the presence of God in the moment
  2. Abstaining from interior or exterior criticism
  3. Abstaining from interior or exterior complaint
  4. Being of service
  5. Being a peacemaker

Fast forward sixty years, this spirituality is delved into evermore profoundly and daily nourishes the spiritual and apostolic life of its members.
