The Spirituality of the Little Theresa and That of the Oblate

p.thereseOctober 1 is the day of Sainte Thérèse de l’Enfant Jésus.
Let’s look at Oblate spirituality in relation to Sainte Thérèse's path of spiritual childhood and abandonment to the Father's love.

To understand the presence of God, we must consider it as living with Jesus in every moment and circumstance that arises. Thérèse sought God’s will by surrendering fearlessly to His merciful love in the simple details of her daily life. She often remarked, “Picking up a pin for love can convert a soul.”

Similarly, our Oblate spirituality, embodied in the 5-5-5, offers a humble path to holiness through our ordinary lives.therese oblate
It encourages us to love those around us, embrace events without complaint or criticism, and foster peace in our surroundings. Through small acts of kindness, we can embody this path of service. As Thérèse wisely said, “The most ordinary things must be done in an extraordinary way.”

This approach was central to Thérèse's life and is also integral to our experience as members of a secular institute. Her unwavering confidence in God's love is encapsulated in her words:
“It is trust, nothing but trust, that leads us to Love.”

Thus, our Oblate spirituality, through its 5-5-5 principles, guides us towards the LOVE of Jesus with deep confidence.
